Art camp for kids at the studio!

The camp is dedicated to opening young minds to the greatest of gifts..... CREATIVITY! I aim to provide children with the opportunity to explore the arts hands-on through drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, mixed media & print making in my studio.

I am holding an Art Camp for children between 5-12 that will be spread over four Saturdays the 11th, 18th, 25 of September and the 2nd of October at my studio in Banjara Hills. Students will explore and create personal version of various theme-based projects by working with paints and other material while learning about art history at the same time!

I have found that the best way to develop is to learn from the styles and techniques of the Old Masters. I have adapted this method to teaching children to develop their individual creativity through a structured yet creatively unfettered art program in “the Styles of the Masters”.

IN THE STYLE OF THE MASTERS. - 11th, 18th, 25 of September and the 2nd of October

A series of workshops designed to have you creating a finished artwork in the style of the Masters.

1. Modigliani – Create semi abstract self portraits in the style of Modigliani. – 11th September,2010. ( age group of 5-12 preferred)

2. Chagall – Paint in the style of Marc Chagall as you explore the world of your dreams. 18th September,2010. ( age group of 6-12 preferred)

3. Van Gogh – Paint a bright sunny canvas in the style of Van Gogh’s sun flowers. - 25th September,2010. ( age group of 5-12 preferred)

4. Jackson Pollock –Look at and learn to paint in the style of Jackson Pollock as they learn about Abstract Expressionism and Action Painting. – 2nd October,2010. ( age group of 5-7 preferred)

The classes will be priced at a total of Rs. 2000 for the camp. I will be looking at a minimum of 4 children and a maximum of 8 children a class. As the individual classes will be linked in teaching methodology and development over 4 sessions, I would prefer you registering for the entire workshop at a go as I would them make arrangements for supplies and materials in advance.
